Melissa began composing three years ago (2022) in her free time and has enjoyed writing for ensembles and solo instruments over the years. A highlight was her piece Aeolian for brass quartet, which was performed in the Junior Guildhall Composition Showcase in 2023.

As a horn player, she is a member of the National Youth Orchestra and attends Junior Royal College of Music, where she is taught by Sue Dent. She studies Music, Spanish and English at Norwich School and hopes to pursue music next year, either at university or conservatoire.
