Ford, Alex

Born in Derby in 1992, Alex Ford studied piano from a young age with Faye Perkington. After completing his training as a classical pianist Alex Ford moved from piano to composition. Under the tutelage of British composer Francis Pott, he completed his BMus in Music Composition. Since completing a work for the National Guard, Alex has recently seen an increase in popularity, with major commissions from the Imperial War Museum, as well as wind groups in South London. After small scale performances in Ealing, London, some of his works for flute are published here for the first time.
